Workshop discusses the importance of vegetative barriers in agricultural landscapes

Тhe TUdi coordinator Dr. José A. Gómez took part in a workshop discussing vegetative barriers in agricultural landscapes, which took place on 18 March 2022 in the Assembly Hall of the IFAPA Alameda del Obispo in Córdoba. 

The event was organised by the Institute of Sustainable Agriculture (IAS_CSIC) in collaboration with the University of Córdoba, IFAPA, IMGEMA, Córdoba City Council and ASAJA Córdoba.

The workshop was split into two parts. The first stage of the event consisted of a round of four presentations - “Vegetative barriers, revegetation and the new CAP” by Armando Martínez Vilela; “Examples of revegetation in the region of Murcia” by Gonzalo González Barberá; “Vegetative barriers from the perspective of farmers” by Antonio Monclova and  “A broad view of vegetative barriers as an erosion control technique in arid and semi-arid zones” by José Antonio Muñoz.

The second part of the event was an interactive discussion of the possibility of action in an environment similar to the Córdoba countryside, moderated by José Mora Jordano from IMGEMA.
