On 29 March 2024, TUdi hosted an online workshop for Early Career Researchers (ECR) organised between Europe and China. This is the second edition of the ECR workshops, organised by the project, following the first event in December 2023. The event, moderated by Pensoft Publishers, was attended by around 15 participants from the two continents.
The two main speakers were Prof. Martin Banov (New Bulgarian University) and Assoc. Prof. Jundi Liu (Northwest A&F University) which covered the topics “Soil degradation and methods to improve soil fertility – Bulgaria case” and “'Degraded soil remediation in the Loess Plateau of northern China: farmer cognition and practice”.
The online workshop was organised as an academic session on an international scale, leveraging the expertise of TUdi partners from Europe and China to promote the scientific dissemination of findings and provide training in soil restoration, with a specific focus on addressing soil degradation and remediation.
TUdi will continue organising workshops for Early Career Researchers throughout this year, extending until the end of the project. These workshops will facilitate knowledge exchange and foster collaboration between Europe and China
