TUdi at the The Italian Society of Agronomy Conference 2024

The Italian Society of Agronomy was established in 1966 with the goal of advancing agronomic research, disseminating its findings, highlighting its importance and functions, and fostering collaboration and discussion among individuals, as well as public and private organisations dedicated to the field.

On 11-13 September 2024, they held their 53rd Annual National Conference in Matera, on the topic of “Resource management in the innovation of the agri-food systems”. 

 The conference was divided into 4 sessions: 

  • Climate

  • Crop 

  • Soil 

  • Water

TUdi partners Octavian Chiriac and Andrea Alpigiano, from the Department of Agriculture, Forest and Food Sciences (DISAFA) of the Univerisity of Turin presented on the topics of “Impact of different cover crops on soil chemical and physical properties in mais cropping systems” and “Replacing peat in organo-mineral fertilisers to enhance agro-environmental sustainability”.
