The Chinese TUdi coordinator Xiaoping Zhang and her colleagues from the Institute of Soil and Water Conservation hosted a workshop and a seminar at the Northwest A&F University (NWAFU) campus in Yangling, China. Thirteen researchers from BOKU, BAW, CTU, and Wuhan University presented their current research on soil and water conservation to around 200 researchers and students on-site and online.
The workshop covered various topics, including soil erosion research, compaction, soil restoration strategies and policies, and investigating the mechanism of environmental processes. The sessions gave an overview of current research and triggered cooperation and common research interests.
After the workshop, the researchers visited the Xi'feng experimental station. Following the visit of NWAFU researchers in Yangling, the groups from BOKU, BAW, and CTU had two more project meetings with Beijing Normal University and North China Electric Power University in Beijing to further improve their cooperation within TUdi.
